Media for teens has seen more fragmentation and alternatives in the past five years than ever before, according to a study by The Zandl Group, New York, NY. Teen girls use a full range of media, including TV, music, internet and magazines. Entertainment is the usual topic of conversation of 26% of teen girls, which is up over 40% from five years ago. “Friends” was the favorite show of 22% of teen girls, followed by MTV and “The Simpsons.” Rap, rock and R&B are the most popular music genres...
